Dr. Joanna Yu began her undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo and obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Biomedical Science. She continued her education at the university and graduated from their School of Optometry & Vision Science. Dr. Yu completed her externship in ocular disease and therapeutics at the OMNI Eye Specialists in Baltimore, Maryland. She completed her training in many specialized areas including contact lenses, pediatrics, anterior and posterior ocular pathologies like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, corneal disease, etc.
Dr. Yu is from the city of Markham. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and can understand Mandarin. She is excited to serve her community and provide comprehensive eye exams to patients of all ages. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
